Direct contact with sprays such as hairsprays, perfumes or detergents may cause damage to your watch.

Leather/ Mesh Straps

Leather straps deteriorate at different rates depending on climatic conditions, sweat acidity and levels of wear and tear. To ensure your leather strap lasts as long as possible take the following precautions:

1) avoid soaking your strap in water, 2) avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, and 3) avoid direct contact with solvents, detergents and perfumes.

 

Operating Instructions

 

Quartz Watches

All Dubaitime quartz watches are powered by batteries so it is not necessary to wind them. If your quartz watch stops, have the battery checked as soon as possible. A "dead" battery may cause serious damage to the movement if left inside the watch too long.

Setting the Date and Time

Pull out the crown and rotate the hands until the correct time is shown. Remember, it is very important to check that the crown is fully screwed into a closed position in order to ensure waterproof benefit is maintained.

 

Automatic Watches

Important Notice:

A DubaiTime automatic watch  is a sophisticated technical instrument containing over 200 tiny componements. As the mechanism is a delicate piece of engineering that requires special attention, please follow the instructions below to guarantee a durable lifetime to your favourite DubaiTime.

Setting the Date and Time

DO NOT manually set the time or the date display on your watch between 8pm to 4am. In this time period, the movement is getting ready to turn the day/date disc.  This mechanism can suffer a defect on concurrent manual switching.

Winding an automatic watch

With the aid of a winding mechanism, the automatic movement in your watch is wound by the natural movements of your wrist. The power reserve of your watch can last for 36 hours. If the watch is left static for over 24 hours, the power reserve will steadily diminish and it may slow down or stop working.

To restart the movement, wind the crown by hand 10-15 times or swing the watch 20-30 times to generate a sufficient power reserve to ensure optimal precision.

Water resistance

3 ATM : Resistable against splashes, raindrops etc

5 ATM : Donot wear while swimming or taking a shower

10 ATM or more : Used for Diving.

To maintain perfect water-resistance, do not press any function buttons while under-water or exceed recommendated water resistance depths. If your watch has no indicated water resistance then please avoid any under-water activity.

Temperature and Shocks

Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures and large fluctuations in temperature. You should also protect your watch from impacts and advoid exposure to strong magnetic field.

Caring for the Movement

Maintenance, cleaning, lubricating and adjustments should be carried out every two years by DubaiTime appointed dealer .

 

Warranty

DubaiTime offers one year limited warranty from the date of purchase in cases of defects in the material or workmanship.

Claims under warranty are not legitimate for:

A watch without an original warranty card or with a certificate which has not been filled correctly or has been altered, or has been repaired elsewhere instead of our Official service centres or if the watch has not been used according to the instructions.

Broken in crystal glass or metal bracelet/leather strap

Internal damage or normal wear and tear.

Periodical Inspections

Your watch needs an inspection once every two or three years for safety ang longer usage. To keep your watch water- resiatant,the gaskets and other components need to be replaced regularly.
